Welcome to our new website!

Hello everyone and welcome to our brand-new website and online shop for Little Trinkets Studio!

We are a design studio and online shop based in Glasgow, Scotland. We design and produce a variety of products such as our plantable greeting cards, stickers, notebooks and other stationery. Sustainability and cutting down on waste are two of our core values. As such, we have cut down on plastic waste by only using biodegradable starch-based sleeves to wrap our products. We have also come up with products like our plantable greeting cards, which are printed on compostable seeded paper and can be planted to give them a new life as wildflowers. We know that there is still a long way to go, but it is our firm belief that every little helps!

Who we are

We are Sandra and Elija. Sandra is an illustrator and designer and the creative mind behind Little Trinkets Studio. She designs our products and creates all the beautiful illustrations that bring them to life. She studied graphic design and creative advertising and worked in different roles in the design industry over the years. In her free time, she likes to explore Scotland and especially enjoys the company of highlands coos. She also loves chocolate.

If Sandra is the mind of Little Trinkets Studio, Elija is the heart. He focuses on production, shipping, communication and all things “business”. He manages our website and sales channels and takes care of most customer queries. For the last 5 years he has worked in the gaming industry and has a background in history and heritage. In his free time, he creates his own small video games. He is an avid enjoyer of good coffee.

The Story

We first had the idea to create our own illustrated products almost 10 years ago (which feels so long ago it might as well be prehistory) while we both studied at university. It took years to flesh out the idea and come up with a name. In 2018 Sandra designed our logo and the brand was born. Our first products were a (semi-successful) set of Christmas cards, which we mainly sold to friends and colleagues. A profile on Etsy and small online shop followed.

At the beginning of the pandemic, we both found ourselves without work and decided to invest more time in our own business. Thanks to a small grant from Prince’s Trust, we were able to create more products and buy tools to streamline our in house production. From there the brand grew and in 2020 we got our first stockist with Hatch Glasgow. The rest is history.

The Future

What will the future bring? Who can tell? All we know is that it will be exciting! We have plans for several new products and also want to introduce gift boxes to our shop.
